I would be happy to help you find the correct replacement slipper spring for your 1998 McClain Trailer with a 2000lb capacity, but we do not have a spring that is 26-1/2' long with a 2000lb rating or anywhere close.

I recommend making sure you are measuring from the center of the spring eye to the end of the spring as shown in the included diagram. You will need to have the axle off the ground as when weight is on the spring it will stretch and give you an inaccurate measurement.

The closest option we have is the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-5/8" Long # SP-179275 which measures 24-5/8" measured from the center of the spring eye to the end of the spring, and is 1-3/4" wide to match your current springs.

More than likely this will be the correct spring for your trailer, as springs will flatten out and get longer as they get worn though 1-1/2" is quite a bit of stretching.
