Can 4k Axle Trailer Leaf Springs be Installed on 2019 Jayco Jayflight 267BHSW

Question:

I have a 2019 jayco jayflight 267BHSW. It has tandom 3500lb axles and GVWR is 7500lb. Can I upgrade to 2000lb Springs? Or should I stick with the 1750lb Springs?

Hey James, you can go with a 4k axle leaf spring like the part # e22YR in place of what you have now while it has a slightly higher weight capacity it's not enough that it would create a harsh ride quality. This is a 26 inch long spring though so you should verify that is length you have. If you have something different let me know below.

Hi Jameson, I have measured my leaf springs unloaded, they are 4 leaf, 1.75" wide, and appear to be 25.5" long eye to eye. Now I did only remove one tire and lower the jack to relax the spring. Do you think that I did not get an accurate measurement doing it this way? What springs would you recommend for my application? I would like to go to the 2000lb if possible.

@James That's perfect! What you'd want is the part # e57SR. This is a little shorter than what you have now but it's correct size since as springs wear out they tend to stretch a bit.
