We have several options available so I am certain we can locate a fit for you but first some measurements need to be established. Sometimes a hitch that is identified for an E-350 model will work, but this is only if the E-450 has an unaltered frame and a Ford OEM van body, same as the E-350 but identified as E-450 simply due to suspension upgrades. If you have this then I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center a Class V - 2", # 41945. This is a Max gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs. and when used with weight distribution, 12,000 lbs. The Max tongue weight is 1,500 lbs. and when used with weight distribution it is 1,200 lbs. Please note the attached link to product review and installation video.
If your 2013 E-450 was made as a cutaway chassis and fitted with a non-OEM body from an Upfitter, we will need to select a different hitch. A frame measurement on the cutaway chassis is needed. On an E-450 this is commonly 40" but will need to be verified. In speaking to the rep at Curt manufacturing he stated for this situation they suggest the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for a Chevrolet Express Van as it is 40", # C15320. This however requires a non-traditional installation as it is not a custom fit for the Ford. This requires new holes to be drilled in the frame or suggest welding directly to the frame.
