To make sure you get the correct weight distribution system for your needs you will need to make sure that you know your tongue weight, This includes the loaded trailer tongue weight and any added cargo weight behind the rear axle of your 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe.
The Curt MV Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control # C17062 is a great option as long as your total tongue weight is at least 800lbs, but I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-1000 as it works with tongue weights between 600lbs-1000lbs which gives you more room if you don't always carry the same weight in your trailer each time, and offers an improved sway control design over the Curt MV # C17062. The Fastway e2 # FA92-00-1000 also allows for you to back up your trailer with the system installed. You will also need a Hitch ball with a 1 1/4inch shank like Draw-Tite 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # 63840.
To measure your tongue weight, I recommend the etrailer Trailer Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 to give you an accurate tongue weight amount. The tongue weight of your vehicle should be 10-15% of your trailer's loaded weight. You will also need to include any added cargo weight behind the rear axle of your Tahoe for the total tongue weight. I included a video of the etrailer # e99044 for you to take a look at.
I attached the video review for the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-1000 for you to take a look at, and a few helpful articles that show how to measure tongue weight, and more information on weight distribution systems.
I recommend calling your local Chevrolet dealer and having them run your VIN, they will be able to tell you if your Tahoe came with the heavy duty tow package.
