How Long Would 12 Volt Everchill Refrigerator Last Ran off 6 Volt Battery Bank
Question:
I use my rv for dry camping. If I have the Everchill refrigerator running off the dual 6 volt batteries under normal use, approximately how long would it take to drain the batteries? During the day, I would be running a generator or solar to top off the batteries, but I dont want it to drain the batteries overnight while I am sleeping.

The Everchill Refrigerator for RVs # 324-000119 you referenced draws 11 amps under normal operation. That means every hour it would pull 11 amps from your battery bank. So lets say your battery bank is rated for 220 amps (a common RV deep cycle amp rating), that would mean that it would take 20 hours to totally drain it.
Worth mentioning is that when your run 6 volt batteries are wired in series to double their voltage to 12 volts the amp rating of the bank does not change as is the same as each of the individual ratings.

Would you happen to have any updated specs on the energy consumption of these units? From what Im reading, they have a high energy draw to get to operating temperature the 11 amp figure however once this temperature is reached the consumption s to the lower figure 3amps. However, I can find no information stating whether this power consumption is continuous or intermittent. If the unit operates like a normal compressor fridge, then the compressor only runs intermittently usually about 25 percent of the day.
