Where Is The Fuse For The Brake Controller Power Wire On a GMC Savana Van
Question:
I’m experiencing the same problem as asked above. There’s already a red wire installed for the brake controller. It’s right behind the emergency brake pedal. It’s, supposed to be the power source, but I cannot locate it in the fuse box. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The brake controller power circuit on your 2017 GMC Savana Van is ran on a red/white wire that is under the dash, taped to three or four other wires with blunt cut ends. If this wire does not have power then you will need to connect the other end to the stud on your fuse box which can be seen in the attached photo. If you cannot locate the other end then you have a few options; call your local dealer to see if the location of this wire has changed or run your own power circuit using the Wiring Kit for Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # 5506.
We also have the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 which does not require this wire as there will be no wires ran into the cab of the vehicle at all.
