The trailer hitch I highly recommend for your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude is the Draw-Tite # 75699 because it has a concealed crosstube so your Jeep maintains its clean look and is also strong, with a 5,000 lb towing capacity and 500 lb tongue weight capacity. Keep in mind you still want to verify what the towing capacity of your Jeep is in your owner's manual and abide by that. is a bolt-on installation that will not require drilling into your Grand Chrokee's frame to install.
This Class III, 2" trailer hitch is almost entirely hidden behind your bumper, as you can see by the accompanying photo of the hitch installed on a Grand Cherokee, and is also a simple bolt-on installation that will not require drilling into your Jeep's frame to install. The Draw-Tite # 75699 trailer hitch has a black powder coat finish which helps protect it from corrosion and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have added a link to a video install of this hitch for you to take a look at.
To add a 4-flat wiring harness to your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee you will need to know if you have the factory tow package or not. If you DO NOT have the factory tow package you should use the Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118727.
If your Jeep DOES have the factory tow package you should use the Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118384. I have added links to videos of both of these wiring harnesses being installed on a Grand Cherokee.
I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which is for 2” hitches and may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip.
You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise.
