Should Center Plug of Grease Cap Plug E-Z Lube Grease Caps # RG04-010 be Pushed Out All the Time

Updated 01/09/2019 | Published 01/08/2019

Question:

Should the rubber nipple on the grease plug be pushed in, or is it suppose to be extended out...does it matter? When I push it in, it pops back out.

The center portion of the Grease Cap Plug for E-Z Lube Grease Caps # RG04-010 is designed to allow the grease to expand slightly when warm and not pop the cap off. If you are seeing it pop out when cold you may have too much grease in the hub. I'd probably take the cap off to inspect.
