Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these grease cap plugs for your Dexter Axle E-Z Lube Grease Caps. Now, these plugs are specifically designed for your 1.18 inch holes found on many Dexter, rather, or compatible dust caps. And as you know, these serve as protective seals for the access holes in certain trailer hub dust caps, and these access holes are designed to provide easy access to the grease Zerk fittings on your E-Z Lube axles or similar systems, allowing you to add grease without disassembling the hub. These plugs are gonna prevent dirt, water, road grime, and debris from entering the hub through the access hole which could otherwise lead to premature bearing failure.
So if your plugs are missing, or if they have become damaged or cracked, they of course must be replaced as soon as possible to maintain proper sealing and lubrication.
