Can 2015 Lexus GX 460 Tow 6,500 lbs with Aftermarket Hitch?

We only have two aftermarket hitches confirmed to fit your 2015 Lexus GX 460 and both max out at 5,000 lbs towing capacity and are not rated for using weight distribution systems. There is not an option to get the 6,500 lb capacity of your the factory system. The hitch will be the limiting factory for your towing.
If you want to add the 5,000 lb capacity, you can use the Curt # C13043 or Draw-Tite # 75685. These are very similar hitches that install in the exact same location. I recommend the Curt receiver because it doesn't extend as much past the bumper of the vehicle.
To add the trailer wiring I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT which is the only confirmed fit from any of our manufacturers at this time.
For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10035B which is rated at 7,500 lbs so it will pull the 5,000 lbs limit of the hitch without issue. It will also give you the adjustability to tow level and will stow away for a clean look when not in use. I recommend using the locking hitch pin # e98880 to secure your ball mount.
