Replacement Tire and Wheels For Size 6.00-12

Question:

I recent bought a 1965 ? Bee Line travel trailer. It appears to have the original ! Tires and Wheels. Tire is 6.00-12 Dayton. What would be the modern equivelant? Should I also replace the wheels? The appear to have the little metal clips to hold a moon hubcap. Thanks!

I do have some options for you.

The closest tires and wheels that compare to the one pictured are our 145/80-12s. I recommend using either the Kenda Karrier S-Trail # AM31199DX, or the Kenda Karrier Black Mod # AM35354; both of these tires have a 1,220 lbs maximum load at 65 psi. I am recommending the tires with the wheels because even though your wheel might be functional, it looks like it is a little beat up around the edges. Keep in mind that you will want to verify that these tires can hold as much or more than the axle on your trailer. If you are wanting to keep your wheels then I recommend the Kenda Karrier # AM10130.

If you are refurbishing your trailer and would like to have nicer wheels, then I recommend going with the Lionshead Lynx # LH45FR.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any 12 inch wheels that can support the baby moon hub caps.
