Finding Replacement Wheel With Correct Pilot Hole To Switch From 12 Inch To 13 Inch Wheel/Tire

Question:

I am trying to replace 12 trailer tires with 13 tires. I prefer wheel+tire combo. old ones are rusty and leaking air. All packages I found, have different pilot hole. Mine old ones has 2.5 opening. Even I cant find right size opening in 12 combos. What to do?

As long as your trailer hub uses lug nuts, the pilot hole will not effect mounting your wheel to the trailer hub because the lugs will center the wheel on the hub. The only time you have to match up the pilot hole is when your hub uses lug bolts, which then would use a hub-centric wheel.

You will need to measure the bolt pattern of your trailer to determine the correct wheel you will need for your trailer (see FAQ).

You will also want to make sure that you will have clearance from the increased diameter of the 13 inch wheel and tire combo. All of the wheel and tire combinations have the overall outer diameter listed on the product page.

If you can send me your bolt pattern of your trailer, I would be happy to recommend a wheel that will work with your bolt pattern.

I have linked an FAQ and video review on measuring bolt patterns that you may find as a good reference.
