Replacement Wall Vent Recommendation for a Trailer with a Jensen Range Hood
Question:
I have a 2003 National Ragen 21G Hybrid toyhauler that I purchased last Fall. Ive been doing a lot of upgrading and doing so I discovered that there was no damper for the range hood . The range is a Jensen model with an opening to the outside of 6 1/2 inch X 2 3/4inch . The original rain cover is 9 3/4 inch X 5 7/8inch . The cover is in excellent condition . I realize all your vents have a standard rough opening required . I read that either enlarging the opening or trimming the collar of your product were options . Enlarging the hole is not an option for me looking at the installation of my hood . How would you trim the collar to make yours work ? Also , do you or anyplace you know of have a unit that might fit or possibly have a damper system I could integrate So my existing cover would cover the damper unit . Your help is most appreciated .

If your vent uses a smaller opening that what the # V2111-03 that you referenced is designed to fit (10-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" tall rough opening), then you could remove the collar from the # V211-03 so that the back of it would sit flush with your trailer vent.
