Fully welded Dodge Ram Pickup trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.

Specs:
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Works well and is still secure a year later
Was very pleased with the trailer hitch receiver, well built.
Etrailer is the best, fast shipping good prices and video instructions.
Perfect fit 2021 Ram 1500 Classic, easy installation.
great product, but arrived with damage. while i know this likely happened during shipping, which you could not have helped, if the hitch was wrapped in anything inside the box it would likely have prevented the damage to the paint/powdercoat.
As it turns out, I had the wrong hitch all along! This was an easy install and barely took 20 minutes to complete. The online video was extremely helpful. Now I just have to take it for a test run with the RV. Thanks for the speedy service!!

Itās still going strong! Its good to have the right connection setup. Since, I have towed other things than just the RV. Great product for sure. ā
The installation was super easy, took about 20 minutes and the instruction video was extremely helpful. The hitch looks good and fits flush under the bumper. This hitch is going to work great for pulling my camper.
Still getting the job done after a year. Thanks!
Exceelent people to deal with !
Installing the hitch on my 2007 Dodge Ram was a breeze. It only took about 30 minutes to install. Hers are some pics of the installation.
I installed this hitch in 20 minutes it was the easiest accessory i have ever added. The hitch sits flush with the bumper unlike others i have installed which was an added bonus. Thanks for the workmanship and quality.
Hitch was excellent. Watched video then 30 minutes it was on truck. Very easy installation. Simple instructions. Recommendation is excellent.
Let me say this, the HARDEST part of this purchase/install was waiting for it to get it to me!!! :-) From the moment I decided I wanted a receiver type hitch, to the moment I put my tools away, it was a breeze! I located etrailer and watched the video. It is nicely done, short and to the point. I then called etrailer and spoke with Jennifer S., she was a champ and very knowledgeable about etrailer's products, which is a rare trait now-a-days with online companies. Jennifer got me set up and my product ordered. Again it was simple, friendly and seamless time on the phone. Then the waiting... I used the two day shipping and they got it here on time :-) but the wait killed me!!!! Now for the install. My hitch arrived at 7:45pm and at 8:30pm I had the hitch installed and my tools put away!!! The install was just as described in the description and install video, all parts where in the box and the two "fish wires" worked like champs. While I watched the video, prior to ordering, I had some concerns about the bolts coming loose from the fish wires during the install, but they worked great!! I have nothing but good things to say about this product, Jennifer, ordering or installing. If you have Dodge that this hitch will fit, you need to get one!!!!

One year later, no problems. Ive pulled multiple size and different trailers without problems or incident.
I received my hitch neatly boxed inside a larger box without damage. Opened it up checked the hitch, looked to be built of good thick steel, didn't see on the website but hitch is made in Mexico. All hardware was bagged with instructions. The first thing I did was lower the spare tire, on my 09 Dodge the tools needed are located under the passengers side front seat. Then I tried to get hitch in place but bumper was bent up preventing It from getting into the proper position, used a pry bar, somewhat concerned how easy the bumper bent back down. Then lined up hitch installed hardware and tightened down. To hold the nut under the bumper I folded some cardboard to hold the nut in its groove before putting hitch under bumper. Installation time states 30 minutes, from start to finish it took me 27 minutes, including getting tools needed, lowering spare tire and bending down bumper. Actual hitch install took less than 15 minutes, very simple. 1/2" bolts take 3/4" socket for nut and 3/4" bolt takes a 1 1/8" socket.

Still satisfied with hitch. Ive pulled various trailers up to the 6k capacity rating without an issue. I did lose the rubber cover for the bolt head on the bumper, should have glued it down.
Install was straight forward and took just a few minutes. Hitch abd parts all there and in good condition.

Havenāt had to use hitch so far.
So far so good. I use a receiver hitch dirt bike rack all the time. Also use a 14' aluminum open trailer. Occasionally a large enclosed snowmobile trailer. Works great every time. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

No problems yet. Starting to show rust however.
Product showed up and 25 minutes later I had it installed. Looks great, works even better and I couldn't be happier.
Product looks of good quality! It is not installed yet as there were not any guide wires in bolt kit. I don't think it was etrailers fault as box was taped up like it was ripped open. etrailers customer service is mailing out new guide wires. Will update later on ease of installing after I receive wires.

Great hitch
This product was a cinch to install. The instructional video was very accurate and informative and mentally prepared me for the installation. I own a 2011 Ram 1500. This drop hitch unit fit like a glove and only took 15 mins. to install. We immediately hooked up to our trailer and took it for a test drive. It stood the test on bumpy country roads and the highway. Thank you Drawtite and etrailer.com.

One year and this hitch receiver is still as tight as it was the day I installed it.
As described. Great fit. Easy to follow instructions. Installed in less than 30 minutes. I would reccomend to others.
Arrived early, was a perfect fit and that spring/wire thing to put the bolt inside the tube is GENIUS

Perfect fit, easy to install, Ive been using the devil out of it with out incident, Especially loved the spring to get the bolts through the frame
I ordered and received the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I have purchased Draw-Tite hitches in the past and was always impressed by their quality. This purchase has proved to reinforce my impression of their quality. The installation video and instructions included with the kit enabled me to do a quick install of the hitch receiver. The wires with spring style ends allow the installer to quickly and accurately fish the mounting bolts through the mounting tubes underneath the truck. This design is ingenious and works exactly as designed. It took me 25 minutes to complete the entire installation. It went effortlessly. The hitch is a very high-quality unit which appears to be powder coated. The instructions and videos from etrailer were excellent. And even beyond that, the price was the most competitive I was able to find for this product. Shipping and delivery were also very quick. The hitch arrived on my doorstep within 2 days of order. I am a totally satisfied customer and would recommend etrailer 100% for the service, pricing and support they provide.
Product is great. Only thing I would change is to run the pull wires from the anchoring holes first to the outside then attach the bolts. Make sure you run the wires through the holes in the product before you tighten the main bolt. Other than that it's a great pretty easy product

Its awesome. No problems and a great product Thank you
OK, this is a nice item. It is very well made (I'm a welder, so I know). This is an interesting product as it is a pretty easy install (more on that below), and it is relatively inexpensive. Now, it all depends on what you will be towing. I initially thought I'd go for a Class IV hitch, as they are rated for like 10,000 pounds, and my 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 L is rated to tow just under 9,000 pounds. Then I looked at prices and considering that my trailer fully loaded is unlikely to exceed 4,000 pounds, I went with this unit which is a Class III and increases my factory bumper hitch from 5,000 pounds to 6,000 pounds, giving me a nice margin over what I intend to tow. I used an Acura MDX to tow my trailer for like 19 years, and I finally just overdid it. At 215,000 miles, the MDX was going to need a lot of work if I were to continue using it as a tow vehicle. The weakest link actually is the tranny, and the cooling system really needs to be working at best capacity. Truth is, I make the MDX do more than it was really designed for. INSTALLATION. I watched the etrailer video and it was very helpful. Here are my tips, though that should make your installation go more easily. 1. This thing is pretty heavy and it has to be positioned just so to get the big bolt started - while you are trying to keep the nut in position AND start threading the bolt into the nut. I found using a floor jack under the hitch to hold it up against the bumper was very, very helpful. Now, if I just had a third arm..... 2. The written instructions say you don't have to drop the spare to do this. However, it's impossible to get a torque wrench with a socket onto the horizontal bolts on the front side of the existing tow-tube. I tightened with an open-end wrench, but will have to go back and hit it with a torque wrench after I lower (or remove) the spare. 3. This is the best tip! The "trickiest part of the installation is fishing the wires with the horizontal bolts and reinforcing plates 24 inches or so from the outer ends of the tube into the little holes that are almost at the center of the tube. And this is compounded because you are doing this blind. I'm a bit of a contractor and hot rodder, so I thought this through fairly quickly and came up with a great solution! They give you two fish wires that screw onto the ends of the bolts. First you attach one bolt and plate to one of the wires. Then you bend a small, about 3/4 inch, teardrop loop on the end of the wire. Then you take the other wire and bend a small teardrop loop on its end too. Next, you feed the wire without the bolt through the small hole in the tow-tube out to the open end of the tow tube. Then hook the two loops together and pull the wire with the bolt through the tube and out the small hole. This worked slicker than snot, if you know what I mean. Even in the vo\ideo they tell you that the hardest part of the job is fishing the bolts through the tow-tube. This trick made it the easiest part. The electricians reading will say something like "Duh!". That is all.
It is a nice hitch. There some tricks to make installation easier. first, use two wood shims to hold the 3/4 nut in place while you work. next , on a Dodge the 1" x 2 1/8" ish pieces that the 1/2" bolts go through need to be cut down slightly and the ends need to be rounded a bit so that they actually fit through the crossmember tubes without getting stuck. Also, pushing an electricial snake from the 1/2" hitch mount holes out to the outer part of the crossmember then tapeing the supplied bolt pulling devices onto the snake makes the job easier. All in all it took about 1 1/4 hours. Not bad at all.
