Today we are going to show you part number 37DAT from Master Lock and what we have here is an armored trailer hitch lock. It is nice that this lock, which you obviously can see where the shackle bolt is round, is armored so you cannot take a pair of bolt cutters to it and cut it up and what not. Actually it is two locks in one, we will show you how it works.
The way you see the shackle right now it has a thick bar there that works great on your enclosed trailers for the latches that are on the side this will actually cover those latches up and provide security that way. And also for the trailer hitch lock this sleeve actually comes off and you can use it on that. It does have a little nylon ring to hold it in place. To use it on a coupler you may need this or you may not need this. We are going to show you on a coupler that does not need this. Let me show you how accommodating it is. And now your trailer is locked either on the ball or off the ball. And there you have it for part number 37DAT from Mater Lock the armored trailer hitch lock.

These are the locks I have been looking for in the Chgo area. Most marine use inventory is quite limited in the Chgo area this time of year. Of all the locks I have bought throughout the years, and all of the Master locks I have bought, this was the most disappointing !!!! Right out of the box this was CHEAP !!!! Being a multi-piece shackle it loses seems to lose its strength and in the open position it is like a 3 piece wet noodle. It seems all a burglar would need is a large pair of pliers to grab it and twist it right apart. I will be sending these right back in less than 2 hours of receiving them !!!! My search continues for locks for my enclosed trailer. Mr. G 33398
