Hi, everybody, Andy here with the etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this Trimax hidden black aluminum padlock. This high-security hidden shackle padlock features a large lock opening to cover and secure all trailer hasps to deter theft. This lock is perfect for trailers, trucks, gates, and sheds. And this lock is a universal fit, but it is also designed to be used with the Trimax trailer hasp. And if you are in need of a hasp, I am including our item number to that hasp from Trimax.
And just take that item number that you see on your screen and put it in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com. And it will take you to that product. Now, this lock is designed and manufactured from one solid piece of aluminum for long-lasting durability. It is weather resistant. So there are no springs to rust or jam, and three keys are included.
And as you can see, this works very smoothly. You'll just unlock it and pull the lock out, and secure this to the hasp that you have. And it's gonna be a very easy operation. Now, let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements, so you can be sure that this is going to work for your application. The overall width we are sitting right at 2 7/8 inches wide, and then the height, including this slightly taller part here of the lock that you can see there, that's the tallest point, we are sitting right at, looks like right at an inch and 5/8 tall.
And that shackle diameter is 3/8 of an inch. And this does have a limited lifetime warranty. And again, this is in black aluminum, but we do also carry a red aluminum version of this lock, if that's something that's more of your style. Really like the color for the fact that the lighting is poor where this trailer is placed and hope/fully will not freeze like the othets.
They fit my trailer. I was able to take the locks apart and rekey them so one key fits all the locks. I have seen the question "Can they be keyed alike?" The answer is yes they can but you need to take them to someone with the pin kit and some locksmith experience.
