Hi. What is the difference between ecohitch X7273 2015 and ecohitch x7399 2018 ? They both looked the same. Did Honda changed the bumper design from 2025 to 2018?

Hey Kan, there really is no difference between the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH78VR and the Ecohitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7273; the only really difference is that it was updated to fit the new frame on the 2018 Honda Fit.

Other than that, they have the exact same weight ratings and capacities and have the hidden cross-tube design.

Hello Bryce D, Thank you for your reply. What I wanted to know was what is the difference. I have a X7399 Ecohitch for 2018, can I install it on a 2015 Fit ? I heard the only difference was the receiver for the 2018 model was lowered a little bit for the new 2018 bumper. Is that correct? I should be able to install the 2018 model X7399 on a 2015 Fit, the received will just be a bit lower ? Kan

@Kan The difference is, the one you have fits the newer frames on the Honda Fit, and your 2015 Fit has the older style, so the newer hitch won't bolt up to the older Fit.
