Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta

On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we are going to review and do a test fit of part number PW1026. Let's go ahead and take a look at our snow chains to get familiar with them. It's a good idea to review them and check them out and do a practice run, or a test fit like what we are doing here before you actually need them in the ice and snow. First off, all the cables you see are created from a case hardened, low-carbon steel. We've got the rollers on the spring here that goes around the crossbars here. This will move around and dig into the ice and snow and warp 00:32 your tire as needed. This will work on front- or rear-wheel-drive vehicles. In this case, we're only dealing with a front-wheel drive vehicle. This is a low profile chain, which is a class S specification.

Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chain Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta

On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're going to review and install the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, Part Number TC1026. For reference we're working with a tire size today 185 x 60 x 15. We're going ahead and show what to look for before we put them on. Now this low-profile chain is DOT approved to meet minimum requirements. This will be your best bet for around town use such as a snowy day, so that way you'll be spinning out at every stop sign or stop light. This is a great to keep in your vehicle on the highway, in case you climb a hill and everybody else is spinning out on that as well. This end of a snow chain always goes towards the front of the vehicle. If you look underneath the crossbar here, it has an actual label Tire Side so we want this side to face the ice and snow.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta - Hidden Hitch

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta - Draw-tite

On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite Fort Frame, class 1 inch and a quarter receiver hitch, part number 24855. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Fiesta. At first glance, you can actually see how it actually sits below the bumper a little bit probably about an inch. It does go back up as soon as it can, and up and over exhaust. This is our inch and a quarter opening right here, very utilitarian. Just a straight tube, and that's it. This is common for a class one receiver hitch from Draw-Tite.

Titan Chains Ladder Pattern Tire Chains Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta

On this 2014 Ford Fiesta we're gong to review and install Titan snow tire chains. Part number TC 1126. This is a class S chain. It is designed for vehicles that have limited clamp between the tire and the body work, and the suspension component behind the tire. Can you see a little bit of a twisted link here. A little bit more detail when it's on the tire, and again this is great for snow and also it gets a good grip on the ice as well. This is a great chain to keep with the vehicle such as when you're on a highway to get yourself out of a jam.

SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta

Today, in our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we'll be installing the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. To begin our install, we'll first going to go ahead and pop the hood, find a suitable mounting location for the operating unit. Now, for this application, you can see there's plenty of distance between the top of the engine and the bottom of the front cowling. What we're going to do is set the box in position under here, mark the attachment points, drill it out. Then, we'll remove the fasteners for the plastic cover, install our hardware, and then secure the box into place. Now, in cases where you're unable to mark the mounting locations, hold the box in place and just run your drill bit into the attachment point. Now that we have the attachment points drilled out, we'll go ahead and remove the clips here along the front of the cowling.

Deka Lead Quick Disconnect Battery Terminal Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta

Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we'll be installing the DeKa Quick Disconnect Battery Terminal, part number DW05312. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and open the hood and locate the manufacturer's negative battery terminal and cable. As you can see here on the driver's side is the battery and this is the negative battery terminal. Now to install the Disconnect, we'll need to remove the manufacturer's battery cable here at the battery. In some applications you could then cut the cable, install it into the new Disconnect and then secure the Disconnect to the battery. However, because the cable is so short on this application, by the time we cut it we wouldn't have enough room to fit it where the battery terminal will attach to the battery safely. We're going to install a new cable. We're going to remove the old or manufacturer's cable completely. Let's go ahead and loosen up the terminal and remove the ring terminal fastener.

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta

Today, on our 2014 Ford Fiesta, well be installing the Blue Ox Base Plate with Removable Arms, part BX2622. To begin our install, well first go ahead and open the hood and start to remove the front fascia. To remove the front fascia, well need to remove the four pushpin fasteners along the front. They have a Philips head so well go ahead and screw the center of the pushpin fastener out and then remove it completely. You may need to hold the outer edge as you screw the center out. Once we remove the center portion, Ill just use a flat blade screwdriver to get underneath the outer portion of the pushpin fastener and then remove it.

  • Fairing Recommendation for 2014 Ford Fiesta with Rola Roof Rack
  • For the Rola roof rack part # 59768 which is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Ford Fiesta the fairing you would want is the Yakima # Y05017. This will fit well between the feet of the Rola rack and will divert the air over the bars. The reason I recommended a Yakima fairing is because Rola does not make any and the Yakima fairings are designed to fit all crossbar shapes due to the strap style of attachment hardware I attached a picture of.

  • Which Draw Tite Trailer Hitch for 2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan Manufactured in 2013

Exhaust systems, however use flexible rubber isolators or dampeners that mean the exact location of the exhaust can vary slightly (or not so slightly) from vehicle to vehicle. This can sometimes lead to the exhaust rattling against the hitch with varying...
