Today we are going to install part number 13322 from Curt, and we are going to install this on a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. First off, we will show you where the hitch mounts up on the frame. It is going to mount up in two different places. It is going to mount up on this hole here. This bolt gets removed, and a new bolt gets put in its place, and the hitch mounts here. And it is going to be identical on the other side of the vehicle. And also on two places on the bumper itself: on this threaded hole, and on this threaded hole, too.
First step involved is we are going to go ahead and take down this bolt right here. Take it out. And we will do one on each side, OK? We will install our hardware. This plate is going to go on top of the frame, and this bolt is going to go through it. Do it on both sides, and we will hang the hitch off of that. Next what we are going to do is push our hitch up into the bumper. You will notice that the plastic is going to hit on the side of the hitch, too. You can cut out the plastic to make room for it, or it might just look nice just laying on the hitch. It is a personal preference. That is the hitch in its proper position. Then we can install the bolts that go up into the bumper itself. All right, at this point we will go ahead and install the other bolts that go back up into the bumper or between the bumper and the frame. OK, once we have got all the bolts started, we can go ahead and snug them up tight. And then we will follow it up with the final torque. All right, at this point we can go ahead and give the bolts their final torque as specified in the instructions. After you torque down the bolts, you are finished with your install. And there you have part number 13322 from Curt.
