Protect your truck and towables from flying rocks and debris with these fully adjustable mud flaps. The heavy-duty rubber flaps slide onto your ball mount or tow bar, and they adjust horizontally and vertically for a custom fit on your vehicle.
Features:
Specs:
Note: To use Rock Tamers, there must be at least 1" of clearance between the back of the ball mount face and the trailer hitch receiver opening.
Rock Tamers are adjustable to fit your specific vehicle's wheelbase. The mats move horizontally along the support rods and expand from 67-1/4" to 96-3/4" wide. The mats can also be adjusted vertically so that you can maintain proper ground clearance no matter the load you are carrying.
The mats include pre-cut lines on the back in 1-1/2" sections so that you can trim the Rock Tamers to the appropriate length for your vehicle. A punch tool is included to create holes in the mudflap for attaching the installation clamp bolts.

The Rock Tamer system is a high quality product that assembled and installed just as instructions said it would. Looks great on my truck and hopefully will keep those rock dings from occurring on my trailer. I have ordered numerous items from e-trailer over the last few years and they have become my "go to" site because I know I will get the best price and always receive their amazing customer service. They are in Missouri and I am in Washington state and I almost always get my order in 3-4 business days. Very pleased....

They work great, still look new
It has definitely served it purpose and is a quality product. The bolts that clamp the bracket to the hitch shaft do not stay tight for long, even though double nuts are used. I find that it wants to pivot back and forth after use. The strong smell from the flaps prevents indoor storage. Overall, I would recommend this product.

Good. Keeps most rocks from hitting the trailer. The aluminum bracket is being damaged by pivoting back and forth, but it still works.
Everything as advertised... so far. Havn't had a chance to use on a trip yet. Will try to follow up soon. Installation instructions were great. All hardware was included... didnt have to run to pickup additional nuts/ bolts. Must have minimum 1" clearance btwn receiver and hitch flange. As ALWAYS.. etrailer XLNT service and follow up.

Working great. Definitely helps keep the road debris at a minimum, added advantage is they help keep the front of the rig cleaner in all types of weather conditions. Would recommend.
I love these, and they look great too.

After a year they are still like new and still doing their job.
I bought the Rock Tamers mud flaps for my GMC 2500HD to protect my 2016 30ft Airstream. Did install the heat shield as well since GMC exhaust is pointing right at the passenger side mud flap and it is a good thing I did. Rock Tamers worked perfect on our 3 month trip to Florida, should have bought it back in 2016!! The contraption is easy to take off and put back on when needed. Solid construction.

Excellent product! No problems after a year.
This is a well designed piece of equipment with heavy duty materials used. I found that a hack saw was very helpful in cutting the rubber flaps to the requisite dimension. I did not have a band saw handy which was the recommended cutting tool if the utility knife proved too onerous in the cutting process (which it is). The one improvement I suggest is that the Rock Tamers nameplate be pre-affixed at the time of manufacture rather than have the consumer spend time doing this chore. Mounting the flap system to the hitch is a snap, actually a tightening of 2 bolts. The result was a system that indeed tames the rocks.

When cutting the flaps make sure to use a new blade and a straight edge that runs the full width of the flap.Make sure to place a piece of cardboard or wood under the flap where you are cutting. If using a new blade it should only take 2-3 passes on the pre-molded score marks to cut through the rubber.
Easy assembly easy installation this will definitely protect my boat from rocks thanks
Spendy, but well built and very sturdy. Be prepared for some assembly.

My Rock-Tamers are still working as expected. Have completed ~6k mi. of travel with no complaints.
I put these on my truck and they made a big difference in the dirt and stone chips on my trailer highly recommend
These are a very solid flap. They have a great adjustability. I have a 6" lift and a wider tire and these fit perfectly. I would highly recommend and buy again if I ever needed them.
Great the only thing is that the bolts we have to keep tightening.
I drove from the east coast up to alaska last year and needed these to protect my brand new camper. They stayed in place for some 15,000 miles and were never an issue. Special note- they say they are universal and are. they fit on my 2023 4 door wrangler just fine. I was concerned that they wouldn't fit around the jeep rear tire, but with just a little adjustment they fit fine. The adjustment was within the ability of the product. I did not have to modify.
I checked many times that they were tight and they always were. the trip to Alaska goes over some terrible roads and they held up fine!
The flaps work well. Keep trailers clean and protected.
Looks good. Well packaged. Detailed instructions included. Looking to pulling my fifth wheel with protection of the rock tamers.
Very easy to install looks like excellent coverage from the rear wheels. It's easier to cut the flaps with a jig saw and drill the holes with a drill bit makes it much faster. I'm also installing tow Towtector stub 2 inch shaft so I don't have to bang my shins and also installing a Curt 2 inch anti rattle device to take care of the play.
I ordered the Rock Tamer mud flaps through etrailer, and as usual arrived promptly. I ordered these particular mud flaps after researching thoroughly. These were really easy to install and are very good quality. I would definitely purchase these again. A.I.C.,
The rock tamers were easy to install and look very nice. I purchased the light kit to install with them. This is a quality product. Ordering from etrailer is great. I had several options, but chose to order directly from etrailer due to their awesome customer service.
I recently added a 6-inch lift and larger tires to my truck. The tires stick out approximately one inch outside of the wheel well. This immediately increased the amount of rocks I was slinging every time I pulled out of my 400-yard-long gravel driveway.
We bought a travel trailer and the last thing I wanted to do was sling rocks at it non-stop or take the chance of busting a window. We all know how high the RV tech labor rates are.
I opted for this product to prevent a more expensive issue down the road.
The pros: They work as you'd expect them to. They are adjustable, both in height and width. You can shorten the actual flaps by cutting them and a hole punch is provided to create new bolt holes. They are easily removed when not in use.
The cons: Whoever wrote the directions may have been half asleep. In one step they'd say do something one way, then the next step another way. Super confusing but most of us can figure out how to install them. The flaps are not attractive to the eye but they get the job done. They are overpriced but I convinced myself to purchase them by knowing if it saves one puncture to the front hull of my camper or one busted window, they've paid for themselves.
I'd buy them again, even though I'd still mumble under my breath how much they are overpriced.
George, new Class 5 Curt Receiver, RV plug bracket with RV plug, Curt 14K pound hitch, Rock Tamer mud flaps. Everything was ordered and received in a timely manner. Every item installed with absolutely no problem. I am very pleased with ETrailer products. All that is left to do now is go pick up my new toy hauler.
Thank you,
Dwain H
The instruction manual was quite thorough but the references to 17mm were actually 16mm on my product. There were some other similar errors but nothing that can't be misunderstood.
The installation went smooth and it should keep road debris from hitting the front of the travel trailer !
On my 2026 Ford F250 4x4 I only had to trim a 1 inch section for the mat to sit at about 3 inches off the ground. Assembly was straightforward. Took about 45 minutes in the garage and then some test fits on the truck to get the exact width. looking forward to a rock, free travel, trailer front.
Appears to be a well made product. Stainless rods, bolts and nylock nuts. All hardware was packaged in separate bags which made the assembly easy. Instructions were also good. The width adjustment has three gross settings and then can be infinitely set by sliding the bars to your liking. The whole thing can be simply removed by unplugging your hitch. My Dodge Ram 4x4 with stock tires and no lift required a 1 1/2 trim on the rubber deflectors.
Your mileage will vary depending on your application.
All in all a good clean build.
