Question:
I am interested in the rock tamers for my 2019 RAM 3500 SRW. I pull a fifth wheel. Is there a product that will allow me to install the rock tamer without ing a ball into the receiver? I would like to avoid having a shin knocker on the back of the truck. This is especially true when moving between the fifth wheel and the tear of the truck when the fifth wheel is connected.

I have a good solution but when using the Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty, Adjustable Mud Flap System for 2" Hitches part # ERT00108 there is not an option that doesn't attach to the ball mount. My thought for you to get the benefits of the Rock Tamers without busting your shins on a ball mount is to use the Curt Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches part # C48343. This will allow you to mount your Rock Tamers and with it's rounded edges will hug back to them leaving you with a nice flat surface with no danger of you hitting it.
The other option would be to add a standard set of mud flaps like the WeatherTech Mud Flaps - Easy-Install, No-Drill, Digital Fit Front part # WT110108 and Rear part # WT120108. While these will do a great job protecting the vehicle they aren't as effective as Rock Tamers for what you are hauling.

I used a 2.5" to 2" receiver adapter, drilled a new 5/8 hole and it works perfect and cheap.
