Can Kayak Be Stored On Rack And Roll Trailer
Question:
Is it ok to store the kayak on their racks on the yakima trailer
asked by: Bill B
Helpful Expert Reply:
You should have no problem storing your kayak on the racks of the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, part # Y08107. The tongue can be easily removed to provide more room when storing your trailer. The trailer can handle up to 250 lbs so any weight consideration should pose no issues when storing your kayak..
If a longer tongue is needed, I recommend a Tongue Extension Kit,part # Y08109. This attaches simply to your Rack and Roll trailer and extends the tongue an additional 3 ft.
If you need tie-downs for your kayak, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Cinch Straps, part # RRRTD35P. These straps have have padded cam-lock buckles which will secure your kayak to the trailer and protect the finish from scratches.
