Question:
Are there any tirechains that will fit the 2015 Subaru Outback? The Owners Manual says that: NOTE When tire chains cannot be used, use of another type of traction device such as spring chains may be acceptable if use on your vehicle is recommended by the device manufacturer, taking into account tire size and road conditions. What is a Spring Chain? And what options are there for snow chains on a 2015 Subaru Outback?

In the owner's manual for your 2015 Subaru Outback, it should state whether the acceptable tire chains are limited to Class S Compatible. If you are unable to find that information in the manual, the dealership should be able to answer that question for you.
The concern when considering tire chains is due to the clearance needed. Traditional chains might not be recommended for your vehicle. Minimum clearances must be maintained around spring clips, fenders, braces, splash pans, fuel lines, brake lines, brake controls and wherever necessary.
Spring Chains are spring rollers that are wrapped around wire cross cables and are designed for vehicles that have limited wheel-well clearance.
I have attached a helpful article that explains tire chains you can check out.
We have 2 typical tires listed for your Outback. If you have either 225/60-18 or 225/65-17 tires on your Outback, we have some Class-S recommendations that may work for you. If you have another size tire you can let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
If you have 225/60-18 tires I recommend the Glacier Tire Chains, part # PW1046. These have a low-profile which is ideal for vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. If you have 225/65-17 tires I recommend part # PW1042. Both of these recommendations are for spring chains.
I also recommend using rubber tensioners like part # PW105. These help maintain a constant tension which makes sure the chains stay in place for a tight secure fit.
