How to Add a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2011 Honda Pilot
Updated 10/13/2014 | Published 10/11/2014 >
Question:
I have a 2011 Pilot EX with the 2 inch receiver but no electrical connection on the back bumper. I have watched the installation video and I have observed both the grey connector on the interior compartment of the rear drivers side and the other connector underneath the rear drivers side rear bumper are both present on my vehicle.

The presence of the plugs on your 2011 Honda Pilot does not mean that they are active. The difference is in how the vehicle is equipped. If the 2011 Honda Pilot did not come with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, that means that it is not set up to accept just a 7-Way by itself. In that case, you would need # 118253.
