Dimensions of Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer

Question:

Is the equalizer 10 1/8inch long or is that bolt hole spacing. My equalizer measures appox. 11 1/8inch with bolt spacing 10 1/8inch This is on a pequea 10,000 lb. trailer.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled part # AP202 and took some measurements of the equalizer for you.

From the center of the bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole the equalizer measures exactly 10 inches.

The overall length is 11-1/16".

These equalizers are designed for use on trailers with tandem, 3,500-lb to 8,000-lb axles.

I have included a picture showing the measurements for you to check out.

The individual components between the two kits are the same but the quantities are different since the part #AP302 was designed for triple axle trailers and the #AP202 is designed for tandem axle trailers.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
