Question:
Hello, I have a 2023 Outlaw Trailers 40ft Gooseneck Flatbed. The leaf spring on my front right tire keeps popping out of the equalizer and burning up my tire. Ive put it back in but it just wont stay. Ive put about 15k miles on the trailer and the bushings for that tire is already bad. These are on Dexter hub axles with 215/75r17.5 16ply tires

The picture with the torn up bushing looks like the eye of your slipper spring. Is that correct? If so, it is coming undone and probably the reason you're having this problem. It should be enclosed and not look similar to the hook on the end of the slipper spring. Replacing your leaf springs will likely solve the issue. This is a new 2023 trailer so you also might want to check to see if the dealer is willing to cover any repairs. That isn't exactly normal unless you're grossly overloading the trailer.
Since you have slipper springs you will need to measure the length (spring eye to end of slipper) as well as the width of the spring. I would take this measurement on the other side assuming that spring isn't damaged as well. You will also need to know your axle capacity, and it is recommended to replace them in pairs. We have the following available with a hook end:
-5-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 27" Long - 2" Wide # e67SR
-Dexter 7-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26-5/8" Long - 2" Wide # DX73QR
-4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End for 4,000-lb Trailer Axles - 26-5/8" Long - 2" Wide # SP-230275
