A rough ride can shake your trailer and wear out parts fast. This kit brings a smoother, more balanced pull with a pair of 10-1/8" long swan-shaped equalizers that link your tandem axles together. They let your 2" slipper springs move naturally over bumps so the load stays steady and the trailer tracks true behind you.
When your trailer carries serious weight, you need suspension parts that can keep up. These equalizers are designed for use on tandem setups rated from 3,500 lbs up to 8,000 lbs per axle. The 7/8" diameter center hole mounts solidly to the hanger, while the 9/16" side holes tie in to your springs for a strong, consistent pivot point.
Keeping parts matched and aligned is key to suspension life. This kit includes all the hardware to hang four leaf springs from the frame—spring keeper bolts, shackle bolts, wet equalizer bolts, and locknuts—so every connection is tight and properly supported. Used with H202 or H238 hangers, it forms a complete tandem-axle setup ready for dependable miles.
Some equalizers call for extra bushings, but these don’t. Each equalizer mounts directly to the hanger using the included 7/8" diameter wet bolt, giving a direct fit that’s easy to assemble. Tighten the locknuts until they make contact with the shackle strap, then add about a quarter turn for just the right snugness without binding the springs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Dexter Tandem Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for two inch wide slipper springs. Now this kit here will include the two 10 and 1/8 inch long equalizers and the necessary bolts and nuts for suspending four slipper leaf springs from your trailer frame. So you notice the equalizers have a nice raw finish to them. Now this kit will also require part number H202 or part number H238, which are hangers to give you a complete tandem axle kit. Those items we do sell separate on our website and basically those part numbers will contain the front center and rear hangers.
Now these are designed for use on trailers with tandem 3,500 pound to 8,000 pound axles. And again, just to go through what you'll be getting here is everything laid out here on the table. You'll get the two 10 and 1/8 inch long swan-shaped equalizers. And when we say 10 and 1/8 inch long, it's measured from the center of this hole to the center of this hole. Now if you notice on here, it includes the 7/8 inch diameter center hole for your equalizer bolts.
The 9/16 diameter side holes for your shackle bolts. And the 5/16 diameter side holes for your slipper spring bolts. Now the bolts that we include are gonna be four of these 3/4 inch long by 5/16 diameter spring keeper bolts with the four lock nuts. Four of these 3 1/2 inch long by 9/16 diameter shackle bolts with the lock nuts. And then two of the 4 1/2 inch long, 7/8 inch diameter wet equalizer bolts and the lock nuts for that.
Now this kit does not include components for mounting your axle to the springs. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter Tandem Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for two inch wide slipper springs.

Contained ALMOST everything I needed to replace the worn slipper spring equalizers on my trailer. Ended up having to order four TRBU12566 nylon bushings since they were totally worn out, so I had to wait another week for those to arrive to complete the project. Would recommend adding the bushings as a "related product" or putting a set of 4 in the kit.

These items are being utilized in the total suspension replacement of a 10,000 gvwr tandem axle trailer. Good sized job for a DIY'er. I expect that it will give my JD 2038 tractor a smooth and safe ride as it is towed/ hauled down the highway.

The kit is pretty complete. I had to purchase the bushings for the spring eyes. Overall I'm happy with the kit.
