You can use a backup camera on a trailer if you wanted to. What I recommend is the 2 camera system, # SH03D. It comes with an additional antenna to ensure the best reception for long distances. This system will only work if you turn the camera(s) on. It does not operate using the running light circuit or reverse light circuit.
