Why Don't the Pin Holes of my Hitch and Rack Line Up with Kuat Beta When Using 2 inch Adapter

Question:
I have a Beta with 1-1/4. I have the adapter that you sell to convert to a 2. For some reason the pin hole will not line up with my receiver, on either of my vehicles. There were no directions with the aluminum adapter, but seemed pretty self explanatory. Any ideas?

I spoke to my contact at Kuat about the problem you are experiencing and he said that while it may look like the pin holes do not line up the 3/8 inch pin that came with your Kuat Beta 1-1/4 will still fit through.
When you use the # D101 you end up pushing the pin hole of the rack up a bit, but the pin should still be able to fit through the hitch and rack.
