Updated 10/27/2026 | Published 10/25/2026

Question:

I am currently using Morryde 3000 on my Jayco seismic. Not sure what the shackle strap size is that Im using. I want to upgrade to the Morryde 4000 equalizers, so will my straps change lenght? I have 35in from center of rim to rim...

Hey Taylor!

That is a great question!

You won't need to change the length of your shackle straps if you upgrade to the MORryde ALLTREK 4000 part # MR89DR. But you may need to change the length of your leaf spring in order to make sure the shackle straps stay at the right angle when connected to the new equalizer because it'll be a different width and height. To figure out the length of the leaf springs you need, you'll need to measure the width of the equalizer from center bolt hole to center bolt hole on both equalizers. Whatever the difference is, divide it by two and add that amount to the length of your current leaf spring (the leaf spring width will stay the same). I've included a photo of what the proper set up should look like with all of it installed for reference.

What makes you want to upgrade from the CRE300 to the ALLTREK 4000s?

I think I'll stay with the MorRyde 3000, since I'm not sure what leaf springs to get. I appreciate your response.
