Hi I have 2022 RAM 1500 Big Horn that is fitted with M+S LT 275/55R20 tires and I am looking at the Titan Chain Cable Tire Chain part number TC3029 and I am hoping if you can confirm that this will fit OK? Also the rubber chain tightener - can you confirm the correct item and part number. Thanks

Hi David!

We do have options for those 275/55R20 tires on your 2022 RAM 1500 Big Horn, but the Titan Chain Cable Tire Chain - Ladder Pattern - Roller Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair # TC3029 will fit 275/70R18 and 275/75R16 tires for that width. With that said, you will want the following part:

Titan Chain Cable Tire Chain - Ladder Pattern - Roller Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair # TC2028

I confirmed with Titan Chain and this will fit your tires. You will also want the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks - 1 Pair # TCMA2 to hold them in place as you don't want the cables whipping around.

I do want to ask though, why are you looking at cables instead of chains? Cables will get you out of a ticket and offer decent traction, but they aren't going to last very long. Chains will last longer and give you much better traction.

Thanks for the reply. With what you have said, what chains would you recommend would you that would fit my truck with these tires? Would anything extra be required if I go with chains instead of cables ? Thanks

@DavidJ If I were doing this, I would go with the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair # TC2327. These are a bit more expensive than the cables, but they come with their own rubber adjuster built in, so no extra parts are needed. Their diamond pattern also means there is always chain on the ground, so they will offer significantly better traction when you need it. As to the longevity, I have had people get three or four seasons out of this specific chain, so they are the ones I recommend more than any others.

The issue would be the clearance requirements of the chains and the interference it may cause but we do have some really low clearance options that can work great or these situations but I would need to know what size tires you have.
