How to Remove a Yakima SKS Lock Core from the Lock Housing

Question:

hello, would you be able to tell me how to remove the sks core when they are installed in this lock housing? cant figure it out for the life of me. any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is actually a common issue but it is easily resolved. If the change key comes out but the lock cylinder does not, the first step is to make sure the lock is unlocked. Then insert the change key. You may need to put tension on the key by pushing up or down or to the side while slowly pulling the key back. Once it comes out a little you can grab it and pull it out of the housing. I made a video showing how to do this.
