Hi James,

The Curt Wall Mount for 2" Accessories part # C97DR is intended to be installed on the wall to hold accessories off the floor, it is not designed or rated for holding a bike rack on the back of a trailer. If you're needing a hitch on the back of your trailer, you can install one by using a universal mounting hitch like the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch for RVs part # C13702. This trailer hitch fits trailer frames between 18" to 51" wide, so it fits most trailers. It has a tongue weight capacity of 500lbs and a tow capacity of 5,000lbs, so it'll easily be able to handle the weight of your e-bike and bike rack. The hitch can be bolted or welded on, if you decided to bolt it on, drilling will be required to get it installed.

What bike rack are you planning on using with the hitch? Not all bike racks are rated for use on the back of RVs because there's more bouncing and motion at the back of an RV than a vehicle. There are bike racks specifically tested for use on the back of RVs if you need one.

Claire is absolutely correct . . . but with a little imagination and spare parts, this little gadget is quite versatile. I mounted it to and old metal battery frame and winch to it. It is now used as a portable, self-contained winch for loading inoperable small vehicles in our toy hauler or car trailer.

@GrandpaA That's really creative! I can definitely see how the Curt wall mount could be used for other applications besides just holding hitch accessories.
