Brake Controller for 2026 Toyota 4Runner TRD

Question:

I just bought a new 2026 Toyota 4 runner TRD OFf road with a trailering package. I need a trailer brake controller. My VIN is JTEVA5BR7T5147110. I had a READRC on my previous 2021 4 runner and it worked fine. I know these may have changed a bit in 2025 and 2026, but I want to make sure I am buying the right controller and harness that can plug and play on my vehicle. I haul a travel trailer and really need a good controller. Thanks!

@RobinH I have purchased the Tow pro Elite directly from REDARC, and it does come with the wiring, and it is a higher model so I assume it will work well for me, would you still think it is a good choice? Thanks Chauncey

@Chauncey the manual off-road mode you gain isn't of much value, or necessary, for most people. I would say it isn't worth the additional cost unless you're going to be taking your Hideout off-road with you, and I'm guessing you aren't.
