Thanks for letting us help Doug. The B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3200 is only the 5th wheel hitch and does not include any of the other components required to mount it in the bed of your truck. For a complete setup, you'll want to go with the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram # BW89XR. This includes the Patriot hitch along with the above-bed base rails, vehicle specific frame brackets, and necessary installation hardware.

The # BW89XR is specifically meant for a 2026 Ram with an 8 foot bed that does not have the OEM Prep Package, commonly referred to as the puck system. If you can confirm your bed length and whether your Ram has the OEM prep package, I can confirm that the # BW89XR is the correct complete kit for your truck or recommend a different setup if necessary.

Do you already have a 5th wheel? If so, what do you have?

@DougW For the shorter 6-1/2' beds, we typically recommend a sliding 5th wheel hitch like B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ram # BW56XR. This will give you plenty of extra clearance between the 5th wheel and cab of your truck when making tighter turns or slow maneuvers like parking. The BW56XR does have to manually be put into sliding mode via a lever on the lower driver's side meaning you do need to exit your truck before maneuvering. We also carry automatic sliding 5th wheel hitches for your RAM like the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram # DM44TV.
