I want a quality chest box for full size in matte black. something that is structured well enough that you can sit or stand on the lid and after years of service can be shut from one side standing beside the truck on the ground.

For what you are describing, I would go with the UWS Secure Lock Truck Bed Chest, part # UWS08298. It is a matte black option with a RigidCore lid that is built from extra thick aluminum plates filled with hardened foam to help prevent warping and bending over time. It also has Secure Lock twist style handles on both the driver and passenger sides, so you can open it while standing beside the truck instead of having to climb into the bed to reach a handle in the middle. That sounds like a much better fit for how you want to use the box, especially since being able to open it easily years down the road is important to you.
