Easy Opening and Closing
This Hardware Series tool box is designed with two locking paddle handles, gas shocks and self-centering latches. The guide plates accompanying the two stainless steel paddle handles and the gas shocks allow you to access the contents of your tool box with minimum effort. Simply release one of the handles and the gas shocks automatically open one of the two lids, so you can get into the tool box with just one hand free. The self-centering latches ensure proper closure every time, and the integrated lock, operated with the provided keys, deters theft of your belongings.

I saw in one of the correspondences a request of returning a picture after the toolbox had been mounted.
The box was mounted inbed on a Ford 150 Platinum with an accordion style bed cover fully deployed ( Pic 1 ).
Pic 2 shows there is plenty of room between the top of the lid and the bottom of the bed cover.
Pic 3 shows the bed cover fully stacked with plenty of room to fully open the toolbox lid. Thus the toolbox has
weather protection and additional security by salvaging the bed cover. I looked at other styles but found the molding of the fender welds not conducive for inbed mounting. Although there is space between the sides of the box
and the side beds, it allows me to take advantage of the tie-downs mounted on the side beds. Thanks for the prompt service and staying in touch

After 1 year the box still looks great and functions flawlessly..No chipping, cracking, or fading of the paint.. The box lid opens and closes beautifully and the lock works correctly..After 1 year I am very happy with this toolbox, it is a well-made, high quality item that I would buy again...
I will work perfectly. I am putting it on a 10'by 6'utility trailer.
The trailer bed is going to have indoor outdoor carpeting on the bed. I will use it to carry pontoon boats, and the chest for oars, and life vests.
Did not hold up. Seems like it's thinner material. It does not hold out the weather. When it rains plan on everything inside getting wet.
As far as etrailer goes. Great website.
IT SEEMS TO BE WATER TIGHT FOR TRAVEL. IT HAS KEPT DUST OUT AS WELL. IT IS VERY PRACTICAL FOR WHAT I USE IT FOR, WHICH IS HAULING WHEEL CHOCKS, JACK AND TIRE EQUIPMENT, TOW ROPES, GAS CAN, ETC.
Great tool box, nice amount of storage. Purchased this model so it could be hidden away under my tonneau cover, fits perfectly. Removable tool tray has proven handy for keeping smaller items like ratchet straps and bungees easily accessible and organized. The only thing I didn't like are the little yellow "plugs" inside, when my cover has been up and the bed collects water, they aren't very effective at keeping the water from coming up through the bottom.

I chose this for my 5th wheel rv box and does not go above the top of the bed.
I only gave it a 4 star because of the latches
This tool box has worked flawlessly for the year it has been installed. No issues with access while towing my fifth wheel. All I have done is keep the locks and handles lubicated. Highly recommended.
I was so very thankful & relieved to get expertise advise before I bought this tool chest. It fit perfectly in my boyfriend's 2005 Dodge Ram 1500! All the tools that he needs to travel with fit perfectly & he absolutely loves the chest.
The unit is great and serving it's purpose. But the Chinese locks are a problem when one breaks the key off and needs a replacement.
