Solution to Allow 2024 Audi Q7 To Tow Trailer at Exact Correct Height

Question:
Demco 15974-5 Is a part of interest to me. My tow vehicle is an Audi Q7 2024 which is rated to tow up to 7700 lbs ONLY if the hitch ball is positioned in a specific geometry 18 inches high. A ball with rise is not permitted. Anti sway devices are prohibited by Audi. I want to tow a 2027 Intech Aucta Magnolia which has a 24 inch high hitch. Intech will not modify their chassis to receive the 18 inch high ball nor will they comment on the aftermarket modification. How can I safely reconcile this issue?

Hey Yale, that is a pretty interesting situation you are in but to me it sounds like you are on the right track with what you are supposed to do. An adjustable height coupler setup like the Demco Trailer Coupler part # DM6125-81 would be your best option to give you the height flexibility so that your trailer can be towed level and your ball mount height on your trailer is exactly as high as Demco wants it to be. I will say this is probably the first time I've heard of that strict of a height requirement.
