Hellwig Recommendation for Rear Sway Bar for 2026 Nexus Phantom Sport 23PS
Updated 08/31/2026 | Published 08/18/2026 >
Question:
I have a 2026 Nexus Phantom Sport 23PS. It is built on a Ford E-350 Chassis. I am interested in changing the rear sway bar on it to a Hellwig model. I contacted Hellwig to get the right part number needed and they said to get the 7180. This is exactly what they said, Go with part 7180 its going to say its for an E450, but that’s the bar you want. What is your recommendation?

Hey Ricardo, this is a great question but Hellwig really knows their sway bars well. Even though you have a E-350 chassis the 7180, our part number # HE78RR, is your best option as they are definitely trustworthy in their recommendations and this will give you the best handling and stability. Did they say why they recommended the larger bar though?

Hi Ricardo, I don't think you can make a better investment in your towing safety and pleasure than adding both the front and rear bars which is what I did two years ago. I have a 2025 jayco Red hawk 26 m on the 450 chassis. As soon as you make your first turn you will notice the difference, it's especially noticeable going off and on highway ramps and when trucks and cars go flying past you. As I've said many times before I don't think these motorhomes should be sold on the 450 chassis without the helwig sway bars. I hope this helps. Brian

I went through the same process of calling Hellwig. They gave same recommendation. I talked to their backline tech and he explained that it will mount up easier since you already have the factory sway bar. He was right!

I installed the Hellwig sway bars both front and rear on my previous Entegra odyssey 22cf with 450 chassis and my current 2026 Sunseeker 2150 se with ford 350 chassis. It made a huge improvement in handling on both. It also makes it more stable when walking in the rv when parked. It was the first thing I did on the 350. Along with the roadmaster steering stabilizer on both chassis it drives like a different rig. Installed both myself, very straight forward. I highly recommend both! As always etrailer service was top notch.

I have a 2025 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 31K. I put this Hellwig rear sway bar on and it made a huge difference in handling, especially that side to side sway. I also changed out the front sway bar to a Hellwig. Very pleased with my purchase. The service at etrailer was great. They shipped my sway bar promptly. They always have good advice !
