Can I Replace My Fulton F2 Jack with an etrailer Boat Trailer Jack? Will it Mount to My Fulton Plate
Updated 08/05/2026 | Published 07/29/2026 >
Question:
Will this fit on a 3.5inch × 4.5inch mounting pattern used by a Fulton F2 Jack? My beams are probably too thick to use the provided mounting hardware for most jacks so i am looking for something other than a Fulton F2 to mount to my existing mount. Please let me know if this or another Jack by e trailer will fit. Thanks!

Hello Cole,
Thanks for finally finding a reason to write into us, I see you have been a faithful etrailer neighbor (customer) since 2013.
Unfortunately, the etrailer Boat Trailer Jack w/ Dual Wheel, Sidewind, Swivel, 10-3/8" Lift, 1,500 lbs # MJ-1500B-DWL will not bolt directly to the 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" mounting pattern used by the Fulton F2. The Fulton F2 uses a unique mounting pattern, and at this time I'm not aware of an etrailer jack that is a direct bolt-on replacement for that bracket.
I still think the # MJ-1500B-DWL is the better long-term option. Once you move away from the proprietary Fulton F2 mount, you'll have a standard mounting pattern that gives you many more replacement choices in the future.
Since you mentioned your trailer beams are probably too thick to work with most clamp-on jacks, I would plan on removing the Fulton mounting plate and bolting the # MJ-1500B-DWL directly to the trailer frame. That will give you a much cleaner installation than trying to work around the existing Fulton bracket. If removing the bracket isn't something you want to do, the other option would be mounting the jack to one side of the existing Fulton plate, provided there is enough room.
If only Fulton was still around, we could go with an easier swap.
What kind of boat do you have, and what body of water are you out on most? We are located in Missouri, I am mainly out on Mark Twain Lake in the Summer, and Lake of the Ozarks the other times of year. Those wakes just get too massive on the Lake of the Ozarks for my little Ranger.

I don’t believe the one they sent me is the right one. I sent pictures to two different people showing them how it does not properly fit around the trailer tongue and haven’t heard back about a solution so I can’t answer if it works properly.
