Question:
Does the ADV48SR require seperate 12VDC wires? All I have to my opening is 120VAC.

Hey Darin!
No, the Advent Air Distribution Box w/ Built-In Thermostat # ADV48SR does not require an additional 12V power supply. The distribution box receives the power it needs through the compatible Advent air conditioner, so no additional 12V wiring is required.
If you're replacing only the air distribution box and keeping your existing rooftop unit, you'll want to make sure the two are compatible. Newer Advent systems designed for R32 air conditioners are not compatible with older R-410A rooftop units, so if your AC was manufactured before the 2025 model year, you'll likely need to keep your existing style of distribution box or replace the complete system.
What year and model is your current rooftop air conditioner? That'll let me confirm which distribution box will work with it.
