I just received my Terran trailer brakes. What size nuts do I use to connect them to the axles?

Hello Jeff,
Thanks for writing in!
To install your Terran Industries Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left/Right Hand - 3.5K # TX97ZJ, you will also need the Mounting Hardware for 10" Single Brake Assembly # BRKH10BS. This kit includes the four 7/16"-20 mounting nuts and lock washers needed to secure one brake assembly to the axle flange, so you'll need one kit per brake assembly.
If you're replacing both brake assemblies with the # TX97ZJ kit, be sure to order two of the # BRKH10BS hardware kits so you'll have all of the mounting hardware needed to complete the installation.
What kind of trailer are you getting these installed on, and do you have any trips planned once everything is back together?

My project involved restoring an old long-bed trailer. The Electronic brakes were not working at all, and I chose to replace the brakes on only one axle due to the relatively light use the trailer only occasionally gets. Installation went well. The equipment appears well make and according to specification. I choose not to use the old nuts and washers and found replacements at ACE hardware, 7/16-20 nuts (fine thread). I got best results with 8 volt gain on initial setup, however, have not yet done any hauling to let self-adjustment operate, possibly reducing the gain requirement. It is possible replacing brakes for both axils would influence gain adjustment; ask am expert.
