How to Reduce Temperature of MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail # MR54RV

Question:

I bought this safety rail a few months ago. We like it, but it gets extremely hot when the sun shines on it. Will painting it white be the best solution? Other suggestions?

Hey Ron, yes painting the MORryde Short Safe-T-Rail Telescoping RV Hand Rail # MR54RV white would make it a lot less hot in the sun. I would recommend a pretty thin layer on the inner telescoping part since it slides in and out of the outer tube but this will make a big difference. Aside from the temperature of it how do you like the handle?

We have been quite happy with ours. Since buying it, I had not noticed the heating issue you noted. Full disclosure however, most of our camping this season has not included extreme temperatures. I’ll be interested to hear if paint helps with the problem.
