Will Air Lift LoadLifter Air Bags Fit a 2023 GMC 3500 Denali with a Norstar Utility Bed?

Question:
Got a 2023 3500 Gmc denali single wheel. Took bed off and installed a 2025 norstar utility bed with gooseneck. Will these airbags work Logicair will not. It looks like yours mounts to bottom of chassis. Thank you

Hi William,
Thanks for the question. Based on your setup, I don't think the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 kit, part # AL57541, is going to be the right fit. Once the factory pickup bed is removed and a Norstar utility bed with a gooseneck is installed, the mounting points and available frame space change quite a bit. That's why a lot of standard pickup air bag kits won't fit, even if they fit the truck before the bed swap.
In most cases, you'll need an air bag kit that's designed for a cab and chassis truck. Those kits use different brackets that mount along the bottom and sides of the frame rails, which usually provides better clearance around utility beds and underbody equipment. Air Lift's LoadLifter 7500 XL, part # AL57543, is one example. One thing to keep in mind is that Air Lift requires at least 9 inches of clearance between the outside of the frame rail and the inside of the rear tire for that kit to fit properly.
The one thing I'd like to verify before recommending anything is how your Norstar gooseneck hitch is mounted. Depending on the hitch brackets and the bed supports, there can still be interference with cab and chassis air bag kits. If you can send me a couple of photos of the underside of the truck showing the frame rails, gooseneck hitch, and utility bed mounts, I'll be happy to take a closer look and make sure we're recommending something that will actually fit your setup.
