Question:

I have a 2024 chevy Silverado 2500 with a flatbed Work Truck and I want to put the 7500 xl bags and compressor but dont want to get the wrong kit. Can someone advise me in the right direction. Note, I haul a Honda pioneer 1000-5 on the back of truck and a 7x16 enclosed trailer with 2 atvs in it.

Hey Dale. The only Air Lift 7500 XL kit that fits a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is the item # AL57541 kit you were looking at. It only fits the 4WD models. Not sure if you have a gooseneck hitch but there are compatibility issues with this kit and you may need to drill into your frame.

A comparable alternative if your truck is 2WD or you have a gooseneck hitch, is the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2709. These also have a 7,500 lbs capacity. They fit both the 2WD and 4WD models of the 2024 Silverado 2500 and have no compatibility issues with in bed hitches.

For an onboard air compressor, I recommend the Firestone Air Command Heavy Duty Air Compressor item # F66VV. This heavy-duty compressor can be controlled with an app on your phone and has a 150 psi.

Does your flatbed have a gooseneck hitch and if so does it attach around the frame above your Silverado's axle?

Yes I do have a fifth wheel hitch and my truck is 4x4 I can get a couple of pictures if that helps?

@Dale Thank you so much for those pictures. The Air Lift item # AL57541 uses u-bolts that go over your truck's frame so they are definitely not going to work with your flatbed. The way your flatbed sits directly on top of the frame is going to block all access you need to get the U-bolts through. You'll need to go with the Firestone item # F2709 instead. These attach below your Silverado's frame where that bump stop is. Zero compatibility issues and personally I think the Firestone air bags are a higher quality. The Firestone air bags use four layers of reinforced rubber whereas the Air Lift ones only have 2-ply rubber. Firestone airbags use a crimp rolled design which is much more durable than the band clamp used with their Air Lift counter part.
