What is the Locking Channel Width on the TowSmart Ball Mount for 2" Hitches?

Will a 2inch wide barstock part sit flat on the surface between the raised ridges along the sides of the TowSmart TS44FR ball mount?

Hello Brad,

Thanks for writing in. I couldn't find that information anywhere, so I took a stroll out to the warehouse to get that measurement.

The locking channel on the TowSmart #TS44FR measures 1-3/4" wide (please see attached image), so a 2" wide piece of bar stock will not sit flat between the raised ridges. It will rest on top of the ridges instead of contacting the flat surface in the channel. The raised Lockrail is designed to keep the hitch ball from rotating while you tighten or remove it.

What are you trying to do with the 2" bar stock? I might have a better solution depending on what you're building.
