Can A Curt Shank Be Used With A Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System?

Question:
Hello: silly question being frugal. I need to get a longer shank for an fastway e2 round bar equalizer hitch. I notice the Curt are less expensive and appear to match the length... would they work with the E2 hitch? they assuming hole distance is the same.. thank you and sorry for the silly question

That's not silly question at all! We actually have people ask this kind of thing fairly often. ^___^
Fastway uses the mostly standard 1-1/4" hole spacing on their shanks, as does Curt. You can absolutely mix and match these kinds of parts without there being any fitment issues. If you let me know what size hitch you have on your vehicle and what kind drop/rise you are needing, I can definitely double check the hole spacing for a couple options.
Are you wanting the longer shank so your tailgate clears the jack on your trailer?

First: really Like your beard:) I purchased a used trailer that came with an e2 round bar and hitch. It is pulled by a f250 super duty. But hitch does not allow me to level trailer, shank not long enough. I was looking at a curt compatible to Fast way e2 92-02-4214 to start.
