I purchased the C25VR hitch and the ETBC7 Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller. I was hoping for suggestions on mounting the connector bracket. Thanks

Hey Gene, while I don't know what vehicle you have I can say that most people attach the mounting bracket for the 7-way of the # ETBC7 to the lower bumper fascia edge. That's typically the best location for it. See the attached picture to see what I mean.

My hitch and 4 flat was installed on our 2025 Ascent. Easiest installation I've ever done. Removing that large wrap around skirt was a bit intimidating. I did purchase a grommet removal tool which I highly recommend. I left my 4 flat in the trunk and will just run it thru the closed hatch door since we don't need it very often. Start to finish was just over an hour.

Putting the hitch and wiring harness was one of the easiest I have done. I too, bought the grommet removal tool which made the whole removal of the back shroud so easy. As for where to out the connector, I left ours loose in the back. I only use the hitch once or twice a year, for a short time, so leaving it in the storage space made sense so it is always clean and dry.
