How Much Ground Clearance is Lost with Install of Curt Hitch for 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Im looking at the CURT Trailer Hitch for a new 2026 Rav 4 plug in hybrid primarily for my bike rack. What is the clearance road to bottom of Hitch ? Has anyone had trouble with bike racks or tires in bike racks hitting the ground on roads?

Hey Drew, while I don't have the exact dimension you are looking for we do know that the hitch opening for the Curt Hitch # part # C34FR62ZY that fits your 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid fits right under the rear bumper edge so it would basically be right at 3 inches lower than the current measurement from the bottom of your rear bumper to the ground. We had one customer tell us this dimension was 11.5 inches though. We have not had any ground clearance issues with this hitch or even other hitches similar to this because the ground clearance reduction isn't much and since it's perfectly centered it's rare that the hitch would even get close to the ground as the corners of the bumper are much more likely to drag first. What kind of bike and bike rack do you have?
