Can Optronics LED Trailer Light w/ Flange, Reflector Be Used On 1963 Aristocrat Lil Loafer

Updated 06/21/2026 | Published 06/15/2026

Question:

Hi, I would like to know if your LED Trailer Light with Flange would be compatible as a replacement on a 1963 Aristocrat Lil Loafer travel trailer? I noticed that there were a couple of vintage campers that used this as a replacement. Thanks

Hey Susan, that's a cool little trailer! Yes, the LED Trailer Light w/ Flange, Reflector # STL13RFHXB can be used as a replacement on your 1963 Aristocrat Lil Loafer. The only thing we don't know are the dimensions of your original lights. These are 5-5/8" diameter x 3/4" thick, so you can compare that to what you have now to see if it is a good match.

Where are you headed next once you get the lights replaced?

Hi Robin, thanks for your swift reply. That's good to know. I will double check the measurements on the existing lights. The assembly is original to the camper. It looks like the wiring is the same with the 3 wires. I read something about voltage and some led lights are not compatible with older campers. I don't know the whole history of this camper so I want to make sure what I order works and won't cause an electrical issue. Thanks again. On the travel front, I hope to get some local travel in the Black Hills of South Dakota. I did get a trip to Utah last month. Just want to be safe with all working lights ??

@Susan as long as it is 12V it should work. Sometimes there can be issues mixing incandescent and LED lights, but it is pretty much impossible to tell without trying. Even if the wires don't match up exactly there is always going to be a way to wire it up with the right functions to work. The good news is LED lights pull so little power you won't have to worry about anything like overloading wiring and causing a problem. The Black Hills and Badlands are awesome! I wish that was local for us. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out.

@Susan These lights are a great replacement for vintage camper tail lights. They resemble the old Bargman lights on many campers. I have put these on several vintage campers. They will also fit perfectly inside the light cover of the bargman trail light 99 and you will have a superior weather proof set of lights. My friends at e trailer have helped me many times on issues like this and have always been very helpful.

They were easy to install. The only comment I might add is no back up light in this particular light. I was using as extra so it did not matter.
